Best Friends

I am SO thankful for my friends! I have four best friends, and I could NEVER put into words how much they mean to me! Two of them I get to see often, and two of them I rarely see. I can't imagine how different my life would be without them in it. Sometimes I think God sent these friends to me as angels to brighten up my life. I feel SO BLESSED to have such wonderful friends. They totally bring out the best in me, and let me do the same for them :) I really hope that I am close to each one of them for the rest of my life. I hope that I can become the kind of friend they deserve. I LOVE MY FRIENDS!

Any moment, EVERYTHING can change. (Well, almost everything)

It seems like everything changes in this world. Some things change for better, some for worse. No matter how hard I try to prevent the bad changes from happening, they happen anyway. Like friendships falling apart. I try as hard as I can to be a good friend, and I become close friends with people to later watch them fade away. It's heart-breaking!

I've realized that no matter how hard I try, I can't make friendships last forever on this earth. Friendship takes more than just me. Anytime I have ever been hurt by changes like these, there has been someone who I have run to- my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has given me SO much hope, because He will NEVER leave me. His love is the one consistent thing in the world. He will never, ever fail me, and He is ALWAYS there for me. Even when I totally turn my back on Him, He doesn't leave, and He doesn't love me any less. It makes me SO HAPPY to know that! If there was ANYTHING I could choose to stay consistent in my life, it would be Him. I'm so thankful to have my God!

It has got me thinking... I put so much effort into things of this world that end up fading away. Not only that, but I often put God aside so that I can put all of my attention on things of this world that end up falling apart in the end. Instead of doing that, I should really be putting all of my focus on my relationship with God- the one thing that will last throughout eternity! ♥

God has also given me hope by giving me a couple of friends who I am becoming closer with right now... I'm so thankful for them! Thank you guys so much for being my friends, and showing me that true friendship really can exist! (You know who you are! ;)

Lol, I'm listening to my ipod, and the song that just came on is Into Black by Disciple. That song nearly sums up this post! :)

I AM OVERJOYED!

This past weekend was THE most exciting weekend of my life!

(Okay, so that is a little bit of an exaggeration, but not much!)

Saturday

Disciple's new CD, "Southern Hospitality" came in the mail!!!

*thinks* (...I'm finding it terribly hard to put into words how exciting this was for me.)

Lets go back...

-On August 18th, I pre-ordered "Southern Hospitality" at a Disciple concert.

-Amber (Wife of Disciple's drummer/Person in charge of merch) told me that I may get the album in the mail BEFORE the 21st.

Now, fast forward to last week:

I was praying, asking God to, "PLEASE let the Disciple CD by Saturday! PLEASE...!"

Saturday afternoon, I was sitting at the computer, listening to the album on Disciple's website, when Abyni came in with the mail. "Spritey, you got a letter... and a package!"

I look over, and recognize my handwriting on the sticker that I filled out to preorder the album- the sticker stuck to the package. That is when I FLIPPED OUT. I screamed, and I got EXTREMELY exuberant. I began to cry tears of immense happiness as I ripped the package open. The package was open. I started crying with a more intense outburst, and thought that was somewhat odd, because I don't generally cry when I'm excited. Soon, my Mom is chasing me around the house with a video camera, making fun of me. (Okay, so the "chasing" may be a little exaggeration, but once again, not very much of one!) I ran to my room, and I literally started sobbing. The whole event was wonderful. It was extreme. It was kinda pathetic. LOL =)

It might be needless to say, but I love the CD =D I have a lot more to say than just, "I love the CD", but I should probably make a seperate post for all of that =)

*Heavy happy sigh* That was a moment that I had been anxiously awaiting for months. OH, and the other letter that I got in the mail was tremendously exciting, as well, but I can't really talk about it yet!

Sunday

On Sunday, I found out news that made me JUST as ecstatic! Well, I was in Church when I found out, so I had a little more self-control, and didn't jump into a fit of WEEPING! LOL...

I can't really give out too many details, but the thing is, I have made this friend named Halle, and she is totally amazing. I am exceedingly thankful for her, and I can't tell you how much so I have been wanting to get to know her better. I found out yesterday that she can come to the Tobymac concert with me the day after my birthday! Seriously, I'm BEYOND EXCITED!!! It's about two hours away, and my friend Garrett is going, too. It's going to be SO MUCH FUN! Not just the concert, but the road trip! I'm absoulutely PSYCHED!!!

*dances!*

(If anyone else would like info on Tobymac concerts, lmk!)

I'M SO HAPPY!!! =D

The First Thoughts (That are Topics) Coming To My Mind As I Type:

I cannot put into words how much I love, and appreciate getting to be a part of LifeChurch.tv! I found out some exciting news today:
I am going to be the emcee in Toon Town starting in two weeks! I am most ecstatic!

I have been trying to think of what to do for my birthday party. My birthday is coming up in November. I usually start thinking about party ideas in July or August, and the fact that I did not this year had some of my friends and I worried. LOL. I think I'm going to have a "Come as You're Not" party, where everyone dresses up as something/someone they are not. I don't know about creative games and fun stuff like that... it seems to be a lot harder to plan games and things like that this year, because in the past years I have not wanted to invite 20 people to my birthday parties, unlike this year. So, I'm thinking I'm going to have "Come as You're Not" as my general theme, but then do other random things during the party, like "Dance Praise", card/board games, art, and of course have lots of food and other treats. I'm trying to think of more activities to do, and I'm also trying to figure out if I want to have my party at my house or not. Thankfully I still have a month & a half+ before I have to send out invitations :) LOL

I have an in-class Economics quiz on Thursday. I'm terribly nervous. I've never done an in-class quiz before, and I'm HORRIBLE at memorizing the economics terms.

I am going to have a breakdown. I have been told that I cannot have gum for a ridiculously long while, and hearing that information is immensely hard for me to handle. I WANT GUM!!!

I love having a cellphone.

I need to be spending more time seeking God. I need to be spending all of my time seeking God. Everything else I do needs to revolve around seeking God.

CORINNE'S birthday party is on FRIDAY!!! I will finally get to see Corinne, Justine, Kerra, Caitlin and Cassie! Well, I see Cassie often already, but I have not seen everyone else FOREVER!!! Thinking of finally getting to see these friends of mine so soon makes me ECSTATIC once again!

Oh, and game night was Friday night. It was so fun!!! Many pictures were taken, which are on my Flickr website. We played "Rock Band", I did the drums a couple of times, and sang a couple of times. It was a blast!

I love my "Cheer" friends, and I'm incredibly gladsome that I get to see them more often this year, and grow closer with them!

OH MY GOODNESS- I HAVE TO GO TO WORK! Later...

It's SUMMER!

Oh my goodness... I love summer SO much! I feel so free! I was kind of worried about summer at first, because I thought that I was going to be GONE the whole time, not getting enough sleep, and I figured I'd reach a point of pure grouchiness. lol. Things have changed, though, and so I'm not going anywhere out of state in the month of June, & the month has been really fun so far! I have spent a ton of time with friends, it is so cool to be able to invite friends over more! We got our pool set up, and boy oh boy is that awesome! I am working 1-2 days a week, which has been great. I have done a lot of Bible study & stuff like that, and seriously, growing into a disciple of Jesus Christ is the best thing in the world. I don't want to say the best feeling in the world, because it's more than that. It really makes me realize how empty I would be without God.

In July, I'm going to go to Canada with my older brother, to meet up with my Dad & two younger siblings to spend time with my sister who lives in Canada. I am REALLY looking forward to it! I miss my sister SO much, I haven't seen her for years. I miss the rest of my family, too. I have to admit I'm looking forward to Canada itself, also. (eh?)

After I get home from Canada & rest up for awhile, I'm going to camp! I'm going with my friend Kerra & her youth group, like I did last year. I am really looking forward to it! Last year was so much fun, & I learned a lot, growing as a Christian. 'Twas splendid!

In August, I'm going to go to South Dakota (that state that is south of North Dakota, ya know) with my FANTABULOUS Grandma and Grandpa. I'm going to a HUGE motorcycle rally- Sturgis! I am SO EXCITED! I miss living on the road & motorcycle rallies sometimes, so I'm very thankful that my Grandma is letting me join her & help her out with one this summer. She did last summer, too, and it was wonderful :)

After that, I'm going to come home and start school again. I will go, "Goodness gracious, summer is over already?" Time flies when you are having fun, & God has blessed me with a summer that is going to be beyond fun. Thank You, Lord!
